Girls Polytechnic Scholarship Program

About the Suresh Shah Memorial Scholarships

The Suresh Shah Memorial Scholarships are generously sponsored by his daughter, Mrs. Swati Desai, an alumna of Somaiya Vidyavihar who later served as a Lecturer at Somaiya Polytechnic.

She has instituted these scholarships in loving memory of her father, Mr. Suresh Shah, who was a constant source of inspiration and support to his family. Through these scholarships, Mrs. Desai seeks to honour his memory and extend his legacy of encouragement and support to deserving students.

The objective of the Girls Polytechnic Scholarship Program is to empower young women pursuing technical education by providing financial assistance to deserving girl students from economically weaker backgrounds studying at K. J. Somaiya Polytechnic.

The Girls Polytechnic Scholarship Program has been established to promote equal access to technical education by supporting deserving girl students facing financial challenges.

The scholarship aims to encourage young women to pursue technical and vocational education, enabling them to develop the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in engineering and technology. By reducing financial barriers, the initiative seeks to foster confidence, independence, and greater participation of women in technical education.

Through this scholarship, Somaiya Vidyavihar continues its commitment to creating inclusive educational opportunities and empowering future women professionals to contribute meaningfully to society.
